Patch 0.2.0 brings a mix of new content, balance changes, and quality-of-life improvements to Rottenlands. We’ve added new allies, enemies and structures, while also reworking several parts of the game to make battles easier to read and give you more options when building your deck.

New Ally Units

Two new allies have joined the fight:

  • Berries

    — A group of small melee units that fight together and can quickly overwhelm enemies in numbers. They always come in groups of three.

  • Spear

    — A ranged unit that attacks enemies from afar while still being able to defend itself at close range.

New Enemies

The Mold has also brought two new enemies:

  • Pumpkin

    — A large and durable enemy that slowly makes its way toward your wall, exploding on impact.

  • Cherry Tomatoes

    — Small and fast enemies that attack in groups and can quickly become a problem if ignored.

New Structures

Two new structures are now available for your deck:

  • Ballista Tower

    — A long-range structure built to deal heavy damage from a distance.

  • Bomb Tower

    — Fires explosive projectiles that damage multiple enemies around the point of impact.

UI Overhaul

The interface has received a major overhaul, with changes aimed at making important information clearer during both preparation and combat.

Bestiary

The Bestiary has been added! Here you can discover and learn more about the different allies and enemies you encounter throughout Rottenlands.

New Map System

A new map system has been introduced to better represent your progression through the Cacti Region and the levels ahead.

The Mold Mechanic

The Mold mechanic is now part of the game, bringing a new threat to keep track of while defending your territory.

Spell Overhaul

Spells have been reworked to make them more useful and satisfying to play, giving you more ways to react when things start getting out of control.

Card & Energy Balance

We’ve also increased some of the starting limits to give players more options during each battle:

  • Starting Energy:

    20 → 30

  • Deck Size:

    12 → 16 cards

  • Hand Size:

    7 → 10 cards

These changes should give you more room to experiment with different cards and builds while making the opening stages of a battle less restrictive.

That’s everything for Patch 0.2.0. We’ll keep working on Rottenlands, improving what’s already there and adding more content as development continues.
